A Year in Review - 2025

This year seems to have flown by. We are still in the process of rebuilding our home after the devastation of Cyclone Jasper in 2023. We have moved a total of 12 times with 3 kids (under 8), a dog and a cat. We have to move one more time (February 2026) and hopefully that will be the end of the restoration and we can finally put those disruptive 2 years behind us).

In terms of our beloved business, we have been a part of 12 wonderful weddings and 15 private events and have regular bookings at Narrow Tracks Gin Distillery (in Stratford), Macalister's Brewery (in Smithfield) and the bi-monthly markets in Holloways Beach.

Looking Forward - 2026

2026 is shaping up to be a very busy and exciting year.

The first half of the year is almost fully booked with only a few dates left (which are as follows)

January - 16th, 17th and 24th

March - 14th, 27th and 28th

April - 18th, 25th

May - 2nd, 8th, 9th, 22nd, 23rd and 29th

June - 6th, 13th, 19th

Local Distilleries

Narrow tracks Gin distilling

This is one of our favorite locations to have our food truck. They are a small batch craft gin and moonshine creators that use local tropical fruits and Australian botanicals.

They are a family owned and run small business that prides itself on delivering a unique customer experience. They also have a cellar door which is perfect for gifts for family or friends or to enjoy your favourite gin at home.

The building is one of a kind and has a very interesting history. It was built in 1957 and was mostly used as a timber veneer mill. It's a great location for a delicious cocktail or a unique venue for a private event or wedding. Check out their website and make sure to follow them on their socials.

macalister's brewing Company

They have established themselves to be a great entertaining venue, perfect to see a live band, comedy show or be involved with trivia and music bingo.

They are family owned and operated and make the best, fresh local beer in Cairns. Their beers are also available for takeaway, and you can even buy kegs of your favourite beer for your private event at home.

distil on the hill

Originally from the hills of Jumrum Springs Kuranda they opened a new distillery in Smithfield.

They are family owned and operated and create their gins in their small-batch micro distillery.

They regularly have live music and the venue is great for small get togethers or to hire for private events. Check out their website and follow them on their socials.
